Senior General Min Aung Hlaing inspects production processes of military equipment at the factory

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by Commanderin- Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and the commander of Central Command visited the Tatmadaw Tarpaulin Factory and Shoe Factory (Hlinetat) on an inspection tour yesterday morning.
At the meeting hall, officials reported on production processes and management matters of the factories.
In response to the report, the Senior General stressed the need to try hard to conduct research for manufacturing quality products suchas school backpacks, shoes, caps and belts which are essential for State service personnel as well as people, set the targets of contribution towards reduction of spending the foreign exchange on import of those equipment by operating the production of machines at full capacity and manage manageable scale agriculture and livestock breeding tasks which will effectively provide welfare for workers of the factory.
Then, the Senior General and party viewed various items of military equipment and various types of shoes manufactured by the factory.
Afterwards, the Senior General and party inspected production of military equipment used in the Tatmadaw being produced by the weaving section and the equipment section at the tarpaulin factory and production processes of the shoe factory where officials conducted the Senior General and party around the factories.
The Senior General urged them to make constant assessments and repairs for the quality of products by comparing the advantages and disadvantages found in the battle field, at worksite or in practical use with those of other products at home and abroad and for the convenience of consumers and presented cash awards for staff and workers of the factory.
