Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Antwerp from Brussels

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing is on the way to Antwerp by train.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, who is on the working goodwill visit to Brussels, Belgium, visited Antwerp from Brussels by train on 8 November evening.

The Senior General and party left Midi Station in Brussels at 6.20 pm local standard time on 8 November and arrived at Central Station in Antwerp at 7 pm local standard time. After that, the Senior General and party visited the significant places in Antwerp—Cathedral of Our Lady, the City Hall and the People’s Square— and left there in a motorcade. Then, they arrived back Brussels at 9.15 pm local standard time.

Antwerp located 45 kilometres from Brussels is the second largest city as well as the largest port city in Belgium. The port admits about 15 million of cargo vessels per year. The world ancient heritages such as the Cathedral of Our Lady and the Antwerpen Stadhuis, which is city hall of Antwerp, are famous, and these buildings are about 500 years old.
