The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is on the working goodwill visit to Venice of Italy, accompanied by Myanmar Ambassador to Italy U Myint Naung and officials, left Venice for Florence by high speed train in the afternoon on 9 November.
The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation went to Venezia Santa Lucia railway station in Venice from the hotel by taxi boat. Then, they started the trip by the high speed train at 2 pm local standard time. Along the route, they observed rail transportation system, railway station and rail tract conditions. At 4.30 pm local standard time, they arrived at Santa Maria Novella railway station in Florence.
Afterwards, they enjoyed evening scenes of Florence and Arno River after visiting the Michelangelo Square in Florence. Then, they viewed round preservation of ancient cultural heritages around the precinct of Duomo Cathedral of Florence. They left Florence by high speed train at 8.30 pm local standard time and arrived back Venice at 10.30 pm local standard time.
Venice and Florence are significant cities in tourism industry of Italy. About 48.6 million of international tourists visit Italy yearly. Among them, about 20 million of foreign tourists tour Venice and about 16 million of foreign tourists, Florence. Florence was the capital of Italy before the Roman Empire.
