About 20,000 tourists enjoy sunset scenes of Taungthaman Lake daily

About 20,000 local and foreign tourists visit Taungthaman Lake by boat daily to enjoy sunset scenes as temperature is higher and higher this month due to impacts of El Nino, said the chairman of Taungthaman Boat Association.

Although the El Nino impacts are causing aridness throughout the nation, students, service personnel and families of people take vacations by visiting various significant places.

About 20,000 visitors daily reach Taungthaman Lake which is one of the significant destinations in Mandalay City. Most of them wander the lake by boat till evening so as to enjoy scenic beauties of sunset.

Most of the foreign tourists came from France, German, China, United States of America, Thailand and Italy. At present, a total of 60 boats are giving transportation services to the tourists.
