Senior General Min Aung Hlaing meets Czech Ambassador to Myanmar


The Senior General receives Czech Republic Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Dolecek at Zeyathiri parlour in Nay Pyi Taw.

The whole world will be at peace if there is a strong sense of wishing to see peace, stability and progress and to live in a disciplined manner.Myanmar, as a developing country,is more important in this context.Efforts must be exerted to ensure peace and stability. The country then must continue to try for national development after peace has been achieved. Meanwhile, there must be cooperation with developed friendly nations, said Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.

The Senior General made the comment during a meeting with Czech Republic Ambassador to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Jaroslav Dolecek at Zeyathiri parlour in Nay Pyi Taw at 2 pm today.
Also present at the call were Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and Lt-Gen Mya Tun Oo of the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Czech ambassador was accompanied by embassy officials.

They exchanged views on the last year’s elections, peace process,promoting cooperation between the two militaries, sending trainees for military purposes, and sharing technology and experience in agricultural and industrial sectors based on the previously coordinated matters on production of tractors and tyres.

Myanmar had diplomatic ties with Czechoslovakia for more 60 years. Diplomatic relations with Czech Republic were established in 1993 and the Czech embassy was opened in Myanmar on 28 October 2014. Mr. Jaroslav Dolecek is the first ambassador to serve in Myanmar. He started his duties on 26 May 2015.
