Best arrangements promised for the future of the bereaved families

My heart goes out to the bereaved families felt by an unforeseen tragedy.Efforts must be made to overcome the tragedy in the best way. We are taking all necessary measures in full gear, and I promise best arrangements for the future of the victims’ families, said Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing during his consolatory visit today to the bereaved families of the air crew, officers, other ranks and family members, who were the victims of the crashed Tatmadaw transport plane Y-8.

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing accompanied by wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief,the commander of Coastal Region Command and officials, visited bereaved families of the air crew, officers, other ranks and family members, who were victims of the crashed Tatmadaw transport plane Y-8 at Mingaladon airbase at 9 am Yesterday.

First the Senior General spoke words of encouragement to the bereaved families.Then the Senior General cordially conversed with bereaved families of the 14 crew members and four officers, other ranks and family members individually.

Then, the Senior General and party comforted the bereaved families of four family members of Tatmadawmen, who included in the crashed plane, at the guest house of local battalion in Dawei, the bereaved families of 46 officers, other ranks and families, who included in the crashed plane,at the parlour of Myeik Airbase and the bereaved families of 14 officers, other ranks and families, who included in the crashed plane, at the guest house of the airport in Bokpyin and presented cash to be spent on current administrative matters to them in individuals.

At the meetings, the Senior General explained matters related to the crashed plane,carrying out of search and rescue operations with the use of airplanes, helicopters, Navy vessels and military personnel as much as possible since the information about the incident of crashed plane had been received,participation of local people in the tasks,finding of the upper part of the tail of crashed plane in the evening of 15 June and continuous process of search and rescue tasks, the plan underway to clarify true situation about plane crash incident, arrangements to take food,health and education responsibilities for the bereaved families which lost husbands of those families by allowing them to stay at present military units till administrative matters arranged by the Tatmadaw are ready for them, and the best plans for future of all bereaved families. The Senior General said he will make the best for each person who lost life without considering the aged of them in spending more than Ks-1,700 million donated by well-wishers. Likewise, the Senior General stressed the need to systematically consider inheritance matters, adding that administrative tasks must be carried out without wrong as quickly as possible.
