Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by Commander- in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San, Commander-in- Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint, senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army) and the commander of Central Command, inspected Tatmadaw Textile and Clothing Factory (Meiktila) yesterday afternoon.
The Senior General and party heard a report on production of the factory presented by the acting manager at the meeting hall.
In response, the Senior General pointed out the need to manufacture quality products, give effective supervision for the maintenance of the quality of designs and colours of the garments, use proper raw materials and carry out staff welfare activities.
Then the Senior General and party inspected displayed cloths for uniforms (Army, Navy, Air) and other products.
The Senior General and party then visited the headquarters of airplane assembling and repairing where the headquarters head and responsible personnel explained assembling and repairing of airplanes according to the length of service and flight hours. The Senior General stressed the need to follow strictly maintenance techniques in repairing airplanes and helicopters, highlighting the importance of security.
The Senior General and party later viewed maintenance of helicopters in the hangar and presented cash awards to officials and other ranks.
