Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with the chairman of
Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association.

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Chairman of Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Former Minister of Posts and Telecommunications of Japan Mr. Hideo WATANABE at Bayintnaung Parlour in Nay Pyi Taw at 5 pm yesterday.

Also present at the call together with the Senior General were Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo, senior military officers of the Commander-in-Chief’s Office (Army), and Mr. Hideo WATANABE was also accompanied by Japanese officials.

During the meeting, the two held frank discussion on relations and potential for cooperation between the armed forces of the two countries, and promoting cooperation in Karatedo and bayonet fighting sports, training in domestic workshops, engineering for retired soldiers of Myanmar Tatmadaw, and cooperation for success of the reforms and peace process in the second term of transition in Myanmar.

After the meeting, the Senior General and the chairman of Japan- Myanmar Association posed for documentary photo together with the attendees.
