Promotion of relations and cooperation between two armed forces of Myanmar, Thailand discussed

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing receives a delegation led by Lt. Gen. Parinya Khoonnasee of the Royal Thai Armed Forces.

Senior Staff Talks not only contribute much towards crucial cooperation between the two armed forces of Myanmar and Thailand but also benefit the two countries that have been good and old friendly neighbours. Township Border Committee and Regional Border Committee meetings, Senior Staff Talks and High Level Committee meetings can further cement the bilateral relations and serve as an ideal for the regional countries. And honesty and trust are instrumental,said Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing as he received a delegation led by Lt. Gen. Parinya Khoonnasee of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, who attended the Sixth Myanmar-Thai Senior Staff Talks, at Bayintnaung Villa here this afternoon.

Also present together with the Senior General were senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief. Lt. Gen.Parinya Khoonnasee was accompanied by Royal Thai Army Military Attaché to Myanmar Senior Colonel Apichart Choopavang and senior military officers.

At the meeting, leader of Thai Senior Staff Talks delegation Lt. Gen.Parinya Khoonnasee focused on both side discussions at the 6th Senior Staff Talks and its good results, friendly exchange of sports teams between the two armed forces, and arrangements for exchange of goodwill visits including Tatmadaw families.

After hearing the reports, the Senior General said he paid attention to the good results which came out from the talks. He pledged to continue carrying out of the issues as quickly as possible. 

Those taking responsibilities at present between the armed forces of two countries are shaping both countries with present good results. It means writing a history.As the history of two countries,that of two armed forces and that of persons from both sides are being made good, the posterities will have the opportunities to apply these experience to make their works better.

After the meeting, the Senior General and Lt. Gen. Parinya Khoonnasee had documentary photo taken together with delegation members after exchanging commemorative gifts.
