The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in Japan to pay a goodwill visit, was hosted a dinner by Chairman of the Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Mr. Hideo WATANABE at Kaito Kaku at 7 pm local standard time yesterday.
Also present at the dinner together with the Senior General were his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commanderin-Chief (Army), senior military officers, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Thurein Thant Zin and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Saw Min. Chairman of the Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Mr. Hideo WATANABE was accompanied by Chairman of Kirin Company Limited Mr. Yoshinori Isozaki, Chairman of Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA, Vice Chairman of the Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Mr. Yoshito Segoku and officials of the association.
First, the Senior General and party were welcomed by the chairman of Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association and officials. Then, the chairman of the association, the chairman of Kirin Company Limited and the chairman of Nippon Foundation extended greetings respectively. The Senior General spoke words of thanks.
Afterwards, they had the dinner together. During the dinner, Japanese traditional songs were presented. Next, Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, wife of the Senior General, presented cash award to the two professional musicians who performed entertainment. After the dinner, the Senior General presented gifts to the chairman ofthe Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association and members. Then, the Vice Chairman of the association spoke words of goodbye.
