Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and party attend dinner hosted by H.E. Mr. Taro ASO, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Japan.

H.E. Mr. Taro ASO, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Japan hosted a dinner in honour of the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is on a working goodwill visit to Japan at State Guest House in Kyoto at 5 pm local standard time yesterday.
Also present at the dinner together with the Senior General were wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla, Lt-Gen Soe Htut of the Office of the Commanderin-Chief (Army), senior military officers, Myanmar Ambassador to Japan U Thurein Thant Zin, Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Saw Min and wife. The Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister of Japan was accompanied by Chairman of Japan-Myanmar Friendship Association Mr. Hideo WATANABE, Chairman of Nippon Foundation Mr. Yohei SASAKAWA, advisor to Komeito Party Mr. Kazuyoshi SHIRAHAMA, Chairman of Daihatsu Motor Company Ltd Mr. Masanori MITSUI and officials.
First, the Deputy Prime Minister of Japan and officials welcomed the Senior General and party and posed for documentary photo. After the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Japan had extended greetings, the Senior General spoke words of thanks.
Next, they had the dinner together. During the dinner, they were entertained with Japanese traditional songs and dances. Then, the wife of the Senior General presented cash awards to the Japanese traditional music troupe which performed entertainment. After the dinner, the Senior General and the Japanese Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance exchanged gifts.
