The recent research shows that the Khakaborazi National Park has highquality qualifications, with full of beautiful landscape characters, a spokesperson from Natural Environment and Wildlife Conservation Organisation.
Since last April, researchers monitored the situation of wildlife across the park through numerous cameras, which installed along the top of Htayin Creek, eastern part of Gapaing Village and Tazondam- Tasuuhtu Hill, with the aim of planning to use the data in implementing the development projects for the park.
Those cameras recorded the foot prints of takin, redibex, bear and red panda that show the class of forest.
It is a natural habitat of a rare species of monkey with population between 260 and 330 worldwide and red panda with population under 10,000 worldwide.
Located in Naungmung Township in Kachin State, the Khakaborazi National Park occupies an area of 3,810 square kilometres (1,472 sq mi). It has been established since 1996.
Currently, people may observe lifestyle and other characteristics of animals at Inlay Lake Wetland Sanctuary, Wetthe Lake Wildlife Sanctuary, Lawkananda Sanctuary, Safari Garden in Nay Pyi Taw, Zoological Gardens in Yangon and Mandalay and Alaungdaw Kathapa National Park.
