Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation visits Ahmedabad

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing,who is on a goodwill visit to Ahmedabad in Gujarat State of the Republic of India, visited national leader Mahatma Gandhi’s Memorial Museum at 5 pm local standard time on July 9.

On arrival at the Mahatma Gandhi’s House on the bank of the Sabarmati River, officials of the Museum conducted round the Senior General and party.Then, the Senior General and party looked round Mahatma Gandhi’s room, his wife’s room and handwritten disciplines written by Mahatma Gandhi displayed at living room, the brief description of his life, utensils and traditional weaving. Afterwards,the Senior General singed the visitors' book.

Then, the Senior General and party enjoyed the paintings that describe Mahatma Gandhi’s historic movements including the portrait painting made of groundnut shells, statues and his bicycle on display. Then,the delegation posed for documentary photo together with the statue of Mahatma Gandhi near the museum.

In the evening, the Senior General and party went to River Front and enjoyed the night view of Sabarmati river crossing at the heart of Ahmedabad. The officials formally welcomed the Senior General and party and explained the river bank development and beautifying project to the Senior General and party using video clips.In the past, Ahmedabad was flooded in the rainy season due to the Sabarmati River.In the time of Gujarat State Chief Minister Modi, there were no floods thanks to the systematic conservation of river water with dams and embankments. In addition , development and beautifying tasks along the river bank continue. The Senior General and party viewed the river bank, accompanied by Chief Executive Officer of the river bank beautifying project Mr. Rar Jay Shankar and officials. Then, they had documentary photos taken.

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by the Senior General arrived at TATA Motors Sanand Plant in Ahmedabad this morning. At the briefing hall, Plant Head Mr. Nerray Agarwal and officials explained manufacturing of TATA automobiles with the use of video clips. The Senior General raised questions he wanted to know. After exchanging commemorative gifts, they posed for documentary photo. Afterwards,the delegation members viewed TATA brand automobiles and production process of the automobiles in the factory.

Then, the Senior General and party visited the Solar Plant of Gujarat Energy Research Management Institute where officials conducted them round the plant. The Senior General and party raised questions they wanted to know. The Solar Plant is about five acres of land in generating electricity with the use of more than 4,000 solar panels. Electricity can be generated from sun ray without using batteries. So,one megawatt electricity is being generated from sun ray to directly supply it into the power grid for electrifying about 1,000 houses.Applying the electricity generating technology can directly produce electricity from sun ray at agricultural farms at day time. Farmers can generate and sell electricity through solar panels at their farms. So, the technology benefits farmers in the regions which receive good sun ray.

In the afternoon, the Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation proceeded to Anand in Gujarat State and visited Amul Dairy Products Industry. At the meeting hall of the company, Managing Director Mr. RS Sodhi and officials explained history of production of Amul dairy products and distribution with the use of video clips.

After hearing the clarification,the Senior General asked about maintaining the cleanliness of milk, and free from chemicals in feedstuff of cows and dairy products.Mr. Sodhi replied to the questions on scrutinizing processes of task. Then the Senior General discussed opportunities for producing dairy products in Myanmar.Next, the Senior General and party visited the factory. Afterwards,the Senior General signed the visitors’ book.

Amul Dairy Products Industry scatters 67 factories across India to manufacture and distribute products on a wider scale not only at domestic market but to many countries.

Wife of the Senior General Daw Kyu Kyu Hla who is a member of the Tatmadaw goodwill delegation this morning arrived at No 11 Division headquarters in Ahmedabad and was welcomed by the wife of the division commander and party. They presented report on the functions of the women’s social welfare society of the headquarters with the help of power point. After asking about more information,Daw Kyu Kyu Hla explained the structure and functions of the Tatmadaw organizing and discipline enforcement committees at different levels. She visited the families of the military personnel learning vocational education. Later, she visited the centre for caring disabled children at the headquarters and presented donations. Daw Kyu Kyu Hla then joined the tea party hosted by the families of the headquarters.
