Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and German General Volker Wieker inspect Guard of Honour.

Chief of Defense of the German Armed Forces General Volker Wieker accorded a guard-of-honour welcome to Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing who is on an official goodwill visit in Germany,at the Ministry of Defense at 10 am local standard time yesterday.
Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and delegation arrived at the Ministry of Defense and were greeted by General Volker Wieker and officials. Afterwards, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and General Volker Wieker took the salute of the Guard of Honour and inspected it, followed by the bilateral introduction to senior military officers of both sides.
Accompanied by General Volker Wieker, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing laid wreath and paid tribute to fallen soldiers at Bundeswehr Memorial of the German Armed Forces.
Together with the Senior General at the ceremony were Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Tun Oo and senior military officers, Myanmar Ambassador to Germany Daw Yin Yin Myint and Myanmar Military Attaché (Army, Navy and Air) Brig-Gen Aung Kyaw Moe.
Next, the Senior General and the Chief of Defense of the German Armed Forces met at the latter’s office in the defense ministry.
First, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing expressed thanks for inviting an official goodwill delegation to Germany. He said there has been cooperation between the two militaries for many years and Myanmar wants to further promote relations and cooperation between the two militaries. The country also wants to share information on anti-terrorism. Then, the Senior General extended invitation to the Chief of Defense of the German Armed Forces to pay an official visit to Myanmar.
Then, General Volker Wieker expressed thanks to the Senior General for his goodwill visit and heartily welcomed the Senior General. He said he firmly believed the goodwill visit would further promote friendly ties and cooperation between the two armed forces. He discussed he would like to help officers of Myanmar Tatmadaw attend the training courses in Germany and exchange delegations from respective fields.
After the meeting, the Senior General and the Chief of Defense of the German Armed Forces exchanged emblems and gifts.
