Winners awarded in Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Golf Tournament

Senior General Min Aung Hlaing awards championship trophy to the Commander-in-Chief (Air) Office which won the first prize in the team scratch event.

The prize presentation ceremony for the Commander- in-Chief of Defence Services’ Trophy Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Golf Tournament 2015 was held at Nay Pyi Taw Golf Course yesterday evening.

Quartermaster-General Lt-Gen Nyo Saw presented prizes to nearest to the pin and line award winners, Adjutant-General Lt-Gen Hsan Oo, the longest drive award winner and best players in singles’ handicap and scratch events, Joint Chief of the General Staff Commander- in-Chief (Air) General Khin Aung Myint, most par and birdie winners, and first, second and third winners in the singles’ handicap event, and Deputy Commander- in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in- Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win, first, second and third winners in the singles’ scratch event, third prize winning Eastern Command team and second prize winning Camp Commandant Office of the Commander-in- Chief (Army) Office in the team scratch event, and third and second prize winning Nay Pyi Taw Command team and the Commander-in-Chief (Air) Office in the team handicap event respectively.

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing awarded championship trophies to the Commanderin- Chief (Air) Office and the Central Command team which won the first prizes in the team scratch event and the team handicap event.

At the prize presentation ceremony, the Myawady music band under the Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare entertained songs to the guests.

The Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services’ Trophy Tatmadaw (Army, Navy and Air) Golf Tournament has been held since 1997 with the aim of turning out new generation Tatmadawmen
golfers who will bring honour to the State and uplifting the golf sport standard of the Tatmadaw. This year’s tournament was held at Nay Pyi Taw Golf Course and Yaypyar Golf Course on 4 and 5 February. (100)
