Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Vice Admiral HCS Bisht, AVSM, Director General of the Indian Coast Guard, of the Republic of India at the Zeyathiri Parlour in Nay Pyi Taw at 10:30 am yesterday.
Also present at the call were Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Vice-Admiral Tin Aung San and senior military officers of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Indian delegation was accompanied by Indian Naval Attaché Capt. Manish Bhandari and officials.
They cordially exchanged views on further cementing bilateral relations between two armed forces of Myanmar and India, promotion of cooperation between two troops at border areas between two countries, exchange of goodwill delegations and excursion tours between two armed forces, and further cooperation in training sessions between two navies, rescue works at the seas and boat people issue.
After the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and the Director General of the Indian Coast Guard posedfor documentary photo together with delegation members.
