Vice-Senior General Soe Win receives Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar


Vice-Senior General Soe Win meets Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Hong Liang.

Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win received Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar H.E. Mr. Hong Liang at the parlour of Bayintnaung Villa, here, yesterday morning.

Officials also attended the meeting together with the Vice-Senior General. The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Myanmar was accompanied by Military Attaché Senior Colonel Xiong Shaowei and officials.

At the meeting, they frankly exchanged views on fraternal relations between Myanmar and China, and situation of comprehensive strategic partnership, exchange of goodwill visits at different levels of two armed forces of both countries, cooperation between navies of two countries, matters related to peace and stability at the border region between the two countries, internal peace process of Myanmar, and peace and stability of Rakhine State, progress in re-accepting the Bengalis who fled away, assistance of China for redevelopment of social economy in Rakhine State, implementation of the economic corridor project by Myanmar and China, matters related to continue holding the strategic meeting between the two armed forces of both countries, holding of 2 Plus 2 meeting through collaboration of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Defence between the two countries, cooperation in medical education between the two armed forces of both countries, exchange of mobile military medical team to provide health care services, matters related to military trainee affairs and cooperation in military mechanical tasks, exchange of cultural troupes for promoting friendly ties and cooperation between the two armed forces of both countries, and cooperation in prevention of narcotic drugs and anti-terrorism.

After the meeting, the Chinese Ambassador presented a commemorative gift to the Vice-Senior General, and they posed for a documentary photo together with members.
