Dinner hosted to commemorate 73rd Anniversary Armed Forces Day with Myanmar traditional drama ‘Yatubayin Sarsoshin’

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla attended the reception and dinner in commemoration of the 73rd Anniversary Armed Forces Day in 2018 held on the lawns of Zeyathiri villa in Nay Pyi Taw this evening. To mark the 73rd Anniversary Armed Forces Day, fireworks were set off from Armed Forces Day parade ground and Bayintnaung villa at the beginning of the dinner.

Next, Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and wife, together with Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Commander-in-Chief (Army) Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife, Union ministers and their wives, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Mya Htun Oo and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Navy) Admiral Tin Aung San and wife, Commander-in-Chief (Air) General Maung Maung Kyaw and wife cordially greeted Union Election Commission Chairman U Hla Thein, Deputy Speaker of the Amyotha Hluttaw U Aye Tha Aung, Independence Mawgun first, second and third class award winners, retired senior military officers, chairpersons of Hluttaw committees, Tatmadaw Hluttaw representatives, the officers and other ranks who won Thiha Thura titles, Thura titles and gallantry medals in 2017 and their heirs, representatives from ethnic signatories of Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA), people’s militia and border guard advisory command groups, military attachés and officials of foreign embassies, Myanmar Police Force, Myanmar Fire Brigade and Myanmar Red Cross Society, officials of members of Myanmar War Veterans Organization, members of the University Training Corps, artists starring in the film “Sit-Ko-Mone-Yway-Tike-Khae-The” (Hate War Fight War) and invited guests.

Before and during the dinner, the Myawady Music Band of Directorate of Public Relations and Psychological Warfare of the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) and artists starring in the film “Sit-Ko-Mone-Yway-Tike-Khae-The” (Hate War Fight War) in commemoration of the Armed Forces Day performed.

After the dinner, Myawady Anyeint troupe and soldiers of mobile public relations companies performed a Myanmar traditional drama “the Poet Laureate” (Yatubayin Sarsoshin) to the attendees at Thabin Hall of Zeyathiri villa. The play is aimed at conserving and protecting the Myanmar traditional Zatthabin. Later, the Senior General and party presented bouquets to the entertainers.
