Nay Pyi Taw November 30

The combined troops of the Kachin Independence Army (KIA), the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and the Myanmar National Democratic Alliance Army (MNDAA) attacked the Monekoe area in northern Shan State on Monday, forcing many local residents to flee into Mansi township in China, according to the State Counsellor Office’s Information Committee.

Over 1,000 displaced people were taking shelter at an abandoned school, an old factory and in open spaces near the market in the town of Manhai in Mansi township since Monday, receiving help and subsidies provided by civil society representatives from Koekant region, who entered Manhai via Shweli, it is learnt.
