Nay Pyi Taw October 31

The Myanmar Tatmadaw goodwill delegation led by Commander- in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing left Xian for Beijing by special aircraft of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army this morning. They were seen off at Lintong Airport by Deputy Commander of Shan Xi Province Military Region Major General Li Shengli and senior military officers.

This evening, the Senior General and party arrived at the Myanmar Embassy to the People’s Republic of China where they were welcomed by Ambassador U Thit Lin Ohn, trainees who are in China to attend the training courses, and families of the embassy and military attaché office.

Then, the Senior General met with the trainees and families of the embassy and military attaché office at the parlour of the embassy and gave instructions. He said that the trainees must try hard to make studies for having better skills in advanced technologies as they have basic knowledge in respective fields. They need to try their best in learning as the State and the Tatmadaw sent them abroad to have further studies by spending many time, labour and money. Obedience which is a tradition of the Tatmadaw, abiding by disciplines and patriotism kept in every heart will be strengthening among the trainees depending on their diligence, perseverance, endeavours and self-control. Likewise, they need to abide by rules and regulations. They must follow four points which should be done—they should go to appropriate places, they should relate with appropriate persons, they should speak appropriate topics and they should do appropriate works. The Senior General urged all not to pander themselves as well as their subordinates. The diplomatic relations is a wider arena as it initiates friendly ties between the two countries. The Senior General said that they need to carry out the tasks correctly for the sake of the nation and the citizens with farsightedness. They must protect Myanmar citizens who are in China due to various reasons, with fatherly spirit. The Senior General urged them to strive for achieving greater development in respective sectors as the diplomatic relations is related with many sectors such as political, economic and military affairs.

After that, the Senior General presented gifts and foodstuffs to the ambassador and wife, embassy staff, the military attaché and wife, staff of the military attaché office,  and trainees. Later, the Senior General and party were hosted a dinner by the embassy families.
