Nay Pyi Taw June 9

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing called on Prime Minister of Singapore Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, who is currently on a goodwill tour in the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, in the Ruby Hall of Park - royal Hotel here at 11 am yesterday.

At the call, the Senior General said diplomatic relations have already reached a period of 50 years, during which consolidated bilateral relations bear witness to the fact that leaders of the two countries are good old friends. There has been cooperation in political, economic and nation-building undertakings which have provided a great deal of assistance for the reforms of Myanmar.

Thanks to its reforms the country has witnessed greater understandings in the international relations and also the changes. The Tatmadaw on its part is taking part in the task of restoring national peace and stability, strengthening the adopted democracy system and developing the country with the best efforts apart from the national defence.
