Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India National Security Adviser to India (Minister at the Indian Prime Minister’s Office) H.E. Mr. Ajit Doval at Zeyathiri Parlour here at 4.45 pm yesterday.
During the call, they cordially exchanged views on peaceful and successful power transfer from the first term of Myanmar’s multi-party democracy to the second term, continued measures for stability, the peace issue, the strengthening of military ties between the two countries and bilateral cooperation in border region management and border security, peace and stability.
Also present at the call together with the Senior General were senior military officers from the office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army). The Indian special envoy was accompanied by Foreign Secretary of India Dr. S. Jaishankan, Charge’ d’ affaires of the Indian Embassy to Myanmar Mr. B. Shyam, Indian Military Attaché Col. Gaurav Sharma and officials.
After the meeting, the Senior General and H.E. Mr. Ajit Doval exchanged gifts and posed for a documentary photo together with the dignitaries.
