Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, delegation visit Army Base Workshop, IMAC Gurgaon in New Delhi

Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and Tatmadaw goodwill delegation continued their friendship tour in India, leaving Pune at 7.50 am local standard time yesterday by Indian military aircraft after receiving a warm farewell extended by Chief Operation Officer Group Captain Vij and wife at the airport.

The Senior General and delegation arrived at New Delhi airport at 11 am local standard time, and were welcomed by Air Vice Marshal Shouvik Roy of Indian Airforce and wife and officials.

On arrival at Army Base Workshop in Delhi Cantonment, they were welcomed by its Commandant and Managing Director Brig-Gen Tejinder Jaggi and officials.

At the Conference hall, they attended the power-point presentation on history, structure and capacities of the workshop. After asking for more information, the Senior General exchanged souvenirs.

Later, Brig-Gen Tejinder Jaggi and officials conducted the Senior General and delegation round the workshop.

A welcoming party led by Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Vice Admiral R.K Pattanaik of Information Management and Analysis Centre-IMAC Gurgaon greeted them before they listened to the reports on maritime security, asking for more information and studying the techniques on simulation and system in the afternoon.

In Oval Room at Taj Palace hotel at 4.30 pm, they attended the Biometric System Presentation of Unique Identification Authority of Function during which the Senior General asked for more information. Souvenirs were also exchanged.
